ICF opened in Italy in the 1950s, and was known right from the start for its passion and research: They belong to that community of companies that made a major contribution at the time to the development and establishment of the Italian design concept.

ICF’s product range has always been decisively innovative: they were the first in Italy to manufacture partition walls or open-space walls and panel systems. Their history has been characterized by a trend of product innovation, which continues to be evident in their present.

The aluminium group of chairs, originally designed in 1958 by Charles and Ray Eames, are true classics of 20th century architecture. ICF was one of the 4 original European producers approved by Herman Miller to manufacture Eames chairs under license.

In 2004, ICF ceased producing Eames seats.
